There are fisherman who like to have fun, enjoy fishing, but never get to serious about the sport, probably 90% of the fisherman.
One of the biggest news stories this spring and pressing issues concerning wildlife nationally is the massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Oil started leaking 40 miles offshore in the Gulf of Mexico after an underwater explosion from a BP oil rig. North Carolina has signed a new law stating that any person under the age of 26 must have a boating safety license to operate a vessel, possessing a motor 10hp or greater, on public water. Why did the state pass this law, you ask. Well, more and more people are on North Carolina's waters without the proper boating education.
